EIF4A1 is an ATP-dependent RNA helicase. It can form the eIF4F complex, which is involved in translation initiation by binding with the 5' m7 GTP cap of the mRNA. It could unwind mRNA secondary structure at the 5’ UTR region and lead to the small ribosomal subunit binding and followed scanning of the initiator codon.Product Details

- Recommended Usage
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.025 - 0.5 µg/mL (1:1000 - 1:20000 dilution). For immunocytochemistry, a concentration range of 0.5 - 2.0 μg/mL (1:250 - 1:1000 dilution) is recommended. For immunoprecipitation, the suggested use of this reagent is 5.0 - 15 µg/mL. For immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, a concentration range of 5.0 - 10 µg/mL (1:50 - 1:100 dilution) is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
