Human peripheral blood monocytes were stimulated with IFN-γ (1500U/mL) for 24 hours (in the presence of monensin). Cells were stained with CD14 PE then fixed and permeabilized. Cells were then stained with CXCL10 (IP-10) (clone J034D6) APC (left) or mouse IgG2a, κ APC isotype control (right).

Description

CXCL10, also known as IP-10, is a 8.7 kD chemokine. It belongs to the CXC chemokine family. It is expressed by monocytes, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells in response to IFNγ. It can interact with CXCR3 and plays an important role in immune cell trafficking, particularly of T cells, dendritic cells, and NK cells. In addition, it alters expression of adhesion molecules.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by intracellular immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per million cells in 100 µL staining volume or 5 µL per 100 µL of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
