| One limitation in studying microglia and their role in disease has been the lack of tools to specifically distinguish these cells from other myeloid cells in the brain. With this in mind, we generated a novel monoclonal antibody against mouse P2RY12, a microglia-specific marker. In addition to IHC, this antibody has utility in flow cytometry, microglia isolation with magnetic beads, and in proteogenomics studies when using the oligo-conjugated TotalSeq™ format.

| Amyloid plagues and Aβ aggregates are a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease but many gold standard antibodies for Aβ detection, such as 6E10 and 4G8, cross-react with full-length APP protein. We developed unique clones, 3A1 and A17171C, which preferentially bind to aggregated Aβ and demonstrate no cross-reactivity with full-length APP. Clone A17171C detects high molecular weight aggregates with a a higher sensitivity compared to clone 3A1. These clones demonstrate no cross-reactivity to rodent Aβ making them ideal for novel studies using APP transgenic mice.
